Police detain Bekirhan municipality co-chair and 6 HDP members
The political genocide operation carried out in Batman ended with the detention of Bekirhan Municipality co-chair Gülistan Sönük and 6 other HDP members.
The homes of Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP) members and executives, including that of Bekirhan Municipality co-chair Gülistan Sönük, were raided in Batman.
Co-chair Sönük and HDP Provincial Organization executive Murat Kılıç, Central District esecutive Tayfun Güney, Youth Council member Mehmet Emin Salman, Kozluk Municipality Council member Şükran Çotak, HDP member Suat Öztekin and Seyid Ali Doğan were taken into custody.
The 7 people were taken to Batman Provincial Police Department.
