KNK, TEV-DEM and Kongra Star condemn 15 February international conspiracy

The Kurdistan National Congress (KNK), Democratic Society Movement (TEV-DEM) and Kongra Star condemned the international conspiracy which led to the abduction of Kurdish people's leader Abdullah Öcalan on 15 February 1999.

The Kurdistan National Congress (KNK), Democratic Society Movement (TEV-DEM) and Kongra Star issued statements condemning the 15 February 1999 international conspiracy on its 22nd anniversary.

KNK: The PKK is stronger than ever

The Executive Council of the Kurdistan National Congress Council (KNK) pointed out that the forces who carried out the conspiracy that resulted in the captivity of Abdullah Öcalan on 15 February 1999 thought that the PKK would disappear

The KNK said: “In this 22-year period, the exact opposite happened. Neither Mr. Öcalan has abandoned his struggle, nor the people of Kurdistan. The response of the Kurdish people against the 15 February 1999 conspiracy has been and continue to be very hard.”

The KNK added: "The PKK and the people of Kurdistan have grown their struggle and are stronger than ever before."

As for the invasion attacks of the Turkish state, the KNK said: "The Turkish state is the main enemy. All Kurdish forces must stand up to the Turkish state.”

The KNK added: "A large-scale campaign for the release of Öcalan called 'Dem Dema Azadîyê’ (Time of freedom) has been launched friends of the Kurds at international level. We call on all Kurdish forces to support this campaign."

TEV-DEM: Öcalan's freedom is the only way to solve the Middle East crisis

The Democratic Society Movement (TEV-DEM) said: “Leader Öcalan not only represents the will of free people and society, but also plays a constructive role in establishing democracy, peace and dialogue. Therefore, Öcalan's freedom is the only way to solve the Middle East crisis.”

Reacting to the Turkish invasion attacks in South Kurdistan and Rojava, TEV-DEM said: "These attacks are the continuation of the International Conspiracy. Through the change of the demographic structure of the region the enemies want to eliminate the Kurdish people and their identity."

TEV-DEM called “on Kurdish national political forces and civil society organizations to take a national stance against the Turkish state's attacks in South Kurdistan.

We also call on all the supporters of democracy and freedom in the world to put pressure and do whatever they can to ensure freedom for Leader Abdullah Öcalan. Öcalan has become the symbol not only of the Kurdish people, but also of all those seeing their own freedom in his freedom."

Kongra Star: Öcalan is the representation of all different nations

Kongra Star Coordination said that the conspiracy and isolation are against all international agreements, civil and political rights, and added: "Leader Öcalan is the representation of all different nations and defends the will of millions of Kurds as well as freedom, democracy and common life."

Kongra Star greeted the resistance in prisons and said: "We call on all peace supporters in the world to expand their efforts to end the isolation on Leader Öcalan."

Kongra Star called “on the European Union Human Rights Council and Amnesty International to do whatever is in their power to bring the isolation imposed on Öcalan by the Turkish state to an end and to ensure his freedom."
