CDK-F demands end of criminalisation of Kurdish activists in France

The CDK-F demanded the end of repression carried out by France against Kurdish activists and called for participation to the demonstration organised for tomorrow, Wednesday.

The CDK-F said in a statement that “in an attempt to calm diplomatic tensions between Turkey and France, a new wave of asset freezing measures have taken place against 12 Kurdish activists.

The CDK-F called on activists to join the demonstration organised for tomorrow, Wednesday, at 1 pm at 9 Place de la Madeleine (Paris 8).

Over the past three years, numerous Kurdish activists who are members of the CDK-F network associations, as well as representatives of the CDK-F, have been the subject of repressive administrative measures based on spurious allegations. Unfounded, false, inconsistent allegations that violate freedom of association and human dignity are mentioned in each of the ministerial orders targeting Kurdish militants.”

The statement adds that “all of these measures have a common goal: intimidation and criminalization.

This strategy developed against the Kurds are to satisfy Turkey and covers vile and odious diplomatic interests.”

The CDK-F called on the French state “to intervene in order to redefine a coherent approach to the treatment of the Kurdish question” and demands “the immediate end of this policy of criminalizing the CDK-F, as well as the associations of our network and their members.”
