Toronto Democratic Kurdish People's Assembly carried out an action involving 100 vehicles to protest the 15 February 1999 international conspiracy against Kurdish people's leader Abdullah Öcalan.
Many people joined the action by hanging posters of the Kurdish people's leader and flags of the Kurdish Freedom Movement on their vehicles and windows.
A convoy of more than 100 vehicles toured the busy parts of the city for four hours despite the strict measures to counter the coronavirus pandemic.
Online panel against the international conspiracy
Activists in Canada also organised an online panel after the vehicle convoy action. The Toronto Democratic Kurdish People's Assembly’s website hosted a 2-hour online panel on "the political effects of the 15 February 1999 conspiracy and the new period and strategies." Former HDP deputy and politician Kemal Aktaş joined the panel.
