Young activists announce new march for Öcalan on Sunday

With an action in Athens, TCŞ members announced that they will be on the ground with the spirit of mobilization on Sunday, 18 December to demand freedom for Kurdish people's leader Abdullah Öcalan.

Young members of Tevgera Ciwanên Şoreşger (TCŞ) came together at the central train station of Athens, and announced that they will take to the streets on 18 December as part of Werin Cenga Azadiyê.

The young people, who carried out a march to condemn the isolation imposed on Kurdish people's leader Abdullah Öcalan and demand his physical freedom, emphasized that it is unacceptable that Öcalan has not been heard from for 21 months.

Reminding that marches will be held in Germany, Switzerland, England, Austria and France for the same purpose, the youth announced that they will participate in the Werin Cenga Azadiyê campaign with a mass march in Lavrio Camp on 18 December.

The march ended with the anthem of “Çerxa Şoreşê” in front of the Kurdish Cultural Center in Athens.
