Seventeen years old Dilan Alp who was seriously wounded by police during Istanbul’s May Day demonstrations, could suffer from a permanent hearing loss, said her father, Ali Ekber Alp.

The Alp family has engaged in a legal battle after remakarks from the Istanbul governor Hüseyin Avni Mutlu, who accused Dilan Alp of being a member of an illegal organization.
