A seminar was organized by young people in Berlin to demand freedom for Kurdish People's Leader Abdullah Öcalan.
As the anniversary of the international conspiracy against Abdullah Öcalan nears, Berlin TekoJIN and TCŞ members in Berlin organized a seminar within the scope of the "Freedom for Abdullah Öcalan, Solution to the Kurdish Question" initiative.
Politicians Muharrem Aral and Zekî Pirsus spoke about the process of the conspiracy, and discussed the political and social dimensions of the process that started with the international operation against Kurdish People's Leader Abdullah Öcalan in 1998 and continued on a global scale until the Third World War. Speakers at the seminar underlined that the conspiracy was not just against a person, but against the freedom struggle of a people.
Aral and Pirsus said that despite Abdullah Öcalan’s years of captivity and the conditions of isolation in Imralı, the Kurdish people’s struggle for freedom is gaining strength and is finding an international echo. The speakers emphasized that this struggle is a freedom movement not only for the Kurds but also for all peoples in the Middle East.
Aral and Pirsus stated that the release of Abdullah Öcalan is a necessity not only for the demands of the Kurdish people but also for peace and stability in the Middle East. A permanent solution to the Kurdish question, said the speakers, will play a key role in ending conflicts and wars in the region.
The speakers said: "The demands of the Kurdish people continue to play a critical role. We will continue this struggle with various events to be held on the anniversary of the 9 October conspiracy."
