Young people in Rennes protest Turkish use of chemical weapons

Young people in Rennes wore white clothes to draw attention to the use of chemical weapons and poison gas.

Kurds living in Rennes attended the action promoted by the Revolutionary Youth Movement (TCŞ) to protest the use of chemical weapons by the Turkish state in guerrilla areas.

Young people wearing white clothes distributed leaflets to passers-by to draw attention to the use of chemical weapons and poison gas and marched to Republique Square.

In a statement, the activists said: "The Turkish state's invasion attacks against Avaşîn and Zap regions with the collaboration provided by the KDP on 14 April continue. Turkey is using chemical weapons from both air and land. The use of chemical weapons and poisonous gases is considered a war crime, yet the silence of the international community offers Turkey the perfect environment to continue to widely use those banned weapons.

These special war policies carried out by the invading Turkish state in Kurdistan can only be stopped by the support of the guerrilla struggle by every Kurdish person.”
