YPG (People's Defense Units) Press Centre said in a written statement that attacks by the ISIS gangs to occupy Kobanê continued on the 68th day.

The statement said that People's/Women's Defense Units (YPG/YPJ) are defending Kobanê with their sacrifices and continuing in their operations against the gangs.

According to the statement, on the eastern front of Kobanê, YPG units last night conducted an operation against several positions occupied by the gangs in the municipality area, killing 5 members of the ISIS groups.

On the southern front, YPG forces carried out an operation against the gangs during the night, and killed one member of theirs.

On the south-western front, YPG troops conducted two separate operations against the gangs yesterday during the day and overnight, targeting them on several positions, and killing 7 members of theirs in the Madajan area.

The YPG Press Centre remarked that the ISIS gangs yesterday again shelled the city centre and the surroundings of Kobanê. To respond to these attacks, YPG units and the Peshmerga forces targeted their positions with mortars.

Also providing information about the ongoing operation in Serêkaniyê (Ras al-Ayn), YPG Press Centre said the military campaign initiated by YPG units in the South and Southeast of the city is continuing. Last night, YPG forces carried out an action against the gang groups between the villages of Manajir and Aliya. YPG fighters destroyed a vehicle of the gangs, damaged another one and killed gang 3 members.

The statement also noted that YPG forces carried out an operation against the gang groups today in southwest of Jaz'ah region (4 kilometers, the Ghadisiya village), damaged a vehicle, and killed one member of the gangs.
