YPG: Clashes getting heavier at three fronts in Kobanê

Attacks of ISIS gangs and the resistance by YPG/YPJ forces in the Kobanê town of West Kurdistan, Rojava, continue for the 41st day.

In a statement providing information about the ongoing attacks and fighting in Kobanê, YPG Press Centre reported that gangs intensifying their attacks with reinforcements are being inflicted heavy blows by fighters of the YPG/YPJ and FSA-component Burkan Al Fırat fighting alongside with the Protection Units against ISIS.

YPG Press Centre remarked that clashes that erupted at the eastern front yesterday afternoon continued uninterruptedly till late night, adding that 11 gang members were ascertained killed in clashes in Kaniya Kurda, Municipality Street and Azadi Square, and a heavy weapon-laden vehicle belonging to the gangs was destroyed.

YPG stated that the gangs were inflicted major blows in clashes that simultaneously erupted and continued at the southern front. 14 gang members were killed and ammunition belonging to them were seized by YPG fighters.

YPG fighters carried out an action targeting a vehicle belonging to the gangs between the villages of Menazê and Gulmet to the south of Kobanê, killing two members of the gangs.

7 gang members were killed and two vehicles of theirs were destroyed in another action that targeted gangs between the villages of Pinder and Sosanê.

The statement said 4 YPG fighters have fallen putting up a brave resistance in the last 24 hours of clashes.
