YPG (People's Defense Units) Press Centre reported in a written statement that ISIS attacks aiming to occupy Kobanê continued on the 57th day. YPG said their forces continued to advance in the areas occupied by the gangs, and also to carry out actions outside Kobanê.

According to the YPG statement, ISIS gangs were inflicted heavy blows and 6 members of theirs were killed in yesterday's clashes that continued along the day and night on the eastern front.

YPG forces -the statement said- also made a significant advance on the southern front where many areas were cleansed of ISIS gangs and large amounts of ammunition and military equipment belonging to them were seized. The number of casualties on ISIS side couldn't be made clear.

YPG Press Centre said two members of the gangs were killed as an action by YPG fighters targeted a motorcycle of theirs in the village of Minaze to the west of Kobanê, and one other in another action which targeted the gangs deployed in the Düğmetaş village close to the Euphrates River.

The statement also noted that the YPG operation in south and southwest Serêkaniyê continued, and that YPG forces took control in six villages which include East and West Kaço, Birqa, Asfurîya, Siwediya and Kûa Şilah.

YPG Press Centre added that clashes between YPG and ISIS gangs in Serêkaniyê region continued since late last night.
