YPG launches operation to liberate Derfilitî village

Fighters of the YPG/YPJ (People's/Women's Defense Units) have launched an operation to liberate the village of Derfilitî in Kobanê Canton of West Kurdistan, Rojava.

Fighters of the YPG/YPJ (People's/Women's Defense Units) have launched an operation to liberate the village of Derfilitî in Kobanê Canton of West Kurdistan, Rojava.

According to the information provided by reporters on the ground, YPG/YPJ fighters have started the operation to liberate the Derfilitî village, 60 km southeast of Kobanê, at 11.30 today.

YPG fighters are reported to have entered the village where heavy clashes with ISIS gangs are reportedly taking place at the moment.

It is also reported that the gang groups are suffering heavy losses and started to flee the village after blowing two houses up with explosives.
