People's Defense Units (YPG) and Women's Defense Units (YPJ) have liberated two villages after launching the "Revenge Operation for Til Temir Martyrs" on Monday evening.

The operation was launched in the villages of Hesekê after al-Qaeda linked gang groups attacked the villages of Til Temir city on November 20.

The villages of Xirbeşêr and Elwana, located between the cities of Hesekê and Dirbêsiyê, were taken from the al-Qaeda linked gang groups.

Sources close to YPG reported that YPG and YPJ fighters also surrounded the town of Tiwêna located between Hesekê and Til Temir as clashes continued after the operation was started.
