YPG Press Office said in a written statement that Martyr Hogir Faraşîn operation launched by YPG/YPJ forces in the south east of Kobanê on 8 April has been successfully completed, leaving 9 villages, a cement factory and 2 stone pits liberated and 31 gang members dead.
YPG said the Martyr Hogir Faraşîn operation launched to avenge Mendik martyrs on 8 April was successfully completed in its 7th day. 9 villages, a cement factory and 2 stone pits were cleansed of the gangs and liberated, reported the statement of the YPG and added that YPG/YPJ forces prevented 3 suicide attacks of the gangs. 31 gang members were killed and the corpses of 17 gang members were seized in addition a large amount of ammunition during the operation, the statement further reported.
YPG stated that 3 YPG/YPJ fighters who played important role in the accomplishment of the operation with their dedication lost their lives during the operations.
YPG Press Office also provided information on the clashes in Cizîrê canton of Rojava, reporting that clashes between ISIS gangs and YPG/YPJ forces continued. The statement said YPG/YPJ fighters launched an attack on the gang groups in the area around Til Xenzîr district of Serêkaniyê last night, as a result of which a vehicle of the gangs was destroyed with the gang members in it, while no clear information could be obtained regarding the number of the casualties.
