The joint operation launched by YPG/YPJ, Burkan Al Fırat and peshmerga forces to the west of Kobanê early Monday morning continues.

The joint heavy-weaponry operation has been launched against ISIS gangs deployed in some villages to the west of Kobanê under the coordination of YPG commanders.

While YPG/YPJ fighters have launched an offensive, peshmerga have started attacks with heavy weapons and missiles targeting the area of the gangs. The operation is also being supported by Burkan Al Fırat joint operation centre. Clashes are continuing.

In the meantime, Turkish soldiers have drawn press members away from the border area in order to hinder them from covering the operation on Tal Shair hill from the Boydê village in Suruç.

On the other hand, YPG/YPJ fighters are also continuing with their actions at the eastern and southern fronts of Kobanê.

Fighting is also going on at the western front outside the town.
