YPG reports ongoing attacks by the Turkish army

YPG has reported continued attacks by the Turkish army against the lands of Rojava, West Kurdistan.

People's Defense Forces (YPG) Press Office has released a statement reporting ongoing attacks by the Turkish army against the lands of Rojava, Northern Syria.

According to the statement, Turkish troops crossed over to Rojava into the Bobanê village to the west of Kobanê in the afternoon of January 16. Turkish forces retreated from Rojava soil after a while, and continue their construction of a border along the border.

Again on January 16, Turkish troops conducted mortar attacks on Mervan village in Shiyê district of Efrîn. The mortar shells landed on an empty field and thus did not result in a loss of life or property.

On the other hand, -YPG said- Turkish UAVs carried out reconnaissance flights over Hill Iska in Cindirês district of Efrîn Canton, and dropped unidentified objects. YPG units continue the examination of these objects.

In the meantime, gang groups affiliated with the Turkish army attacked Efrîn's Ayn Deqne village with mortars and heavy weapons the same day.
