YPJ (Women's Defense Units) Kobanê Command saluted the historic victory HDP (Peoples' Democratic Party) has achieved in the democracy struggle at the general elections in Turkey and Bakurê (North) Kurdistan by exceeding the 10 percent election threshold.

YPJ Kobanê Command said in a written statement that “We congratulate and salute the HDP victory which is a major achievement for all the oppressed and Middle East peoples. HDP has achieved this success owing to the works and efforts of women. We congratulate the Kurdish people's leader Abdullah Öcalan, all women in the Middle East and humanity on this historic success.”
