6 killed, 9 injured as Turkey attacks infrastructure facilities in Qamishlo - UPDATE

Turkey is continuing its attacks against the infrastructure of northern and eastern Syria. Reports are coming through of casualties as drones bombed the railway station, a grain silo, a printing house and an industrial estate in Qamishlo on Monday.

Turkey is continuing its attacks against northern and eastern Syria unabated. The attacks are targeting critical infrastructure in the areas of the Democratic Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria (AANES). The shelling has targeted several facilities in Qamishlo on Monday. Unmanned combat drones of the Turkish state have been circling over the city since early Monday morning.


In the west of the city, killer drones attacked a printing house and a vehicle on the premises caught fire. Three workers were taken to hospital with injuries of varying severity. No definitive information is yet available on their condition.

The central railway station in Qamishlo was also targeted in today’s attacks. At least two detonations were reported at the scene, above which large clouds of smoke rose.

A grain silo was shelled in the industrial estate of Qamishlo on the northern outskirts of the city near the district of Miselûn (Maysalun). A nearby car campus was also bombed by drones. Civil defence and the fire brigade are deployed throughout the city, but the situation is unclear.

Cizre feed plant and a tailor shop were among the targets of the Turkish attacks on Monday.

According to reports, 6 people have been killed and 9 others injured in the attacks so far. The number of dead and injured is feared to increase.
