More young people from Northern Syria are joining the ranks of resistance and struggle.
After completing their training at Martyr Xebat Academy, 58 young people have officially joined the ranks of People’s Defense Units (YPG). The training cycle named after Martyr Ziyed lasted 45 days.
A ceremony was held to mark the ending of the training with the participation of YPG-YPJ fighters, Asayish (Public Security) members, Heseke residents and families of martyrs.
Following the military ceremony by the new recruits, YPG Commander Delil Soreş held a speech in which he congratulated the fighters.
Soreş stressed that it was everyone’s task to defend their country and said the new fighters must be ready against any and all attacks.
Following the speech, the fighters took their oath and officially joined the YPG.
The ceremony ended with Kurdish traditional dance halay.
