Arîn Mîrkan's family: Afrin will be liberated from the invaders

Arîn Mîrkan, one of the symbols of this resistance, was martyred on 5 October 2014 after carrying out an action on Miştenur Hill.
On the 5th anniversary of her martyrdom, Arîn Mîrkan's mother Wehîd Henan and his brother Beşar Şêx Xemîn spoke to ANHA.
'Be proud of me'
Arîn Mîrkan's mother Wehîd Henan said: "Arîn had adopted the thourght and philosophy of the leadership since her childhood. She always chanted slogans like ‘Bijî serok APO'".
Wehid Henan added: "Arîn knew her name would echo all over the world before she joined the ranks of the Kurdistan Freedom Struggle and told us 'Be proud of me'. At that time we did not understand what she wanted to tell. We do understand now what she meant."
'If we follow in the footsteps of our martyrs, Afrin will also be liberated'
Stating that Arîn showed to the world what Kurdish women are capable of, Wehîde Henan continued: "Fighting martyrs such as Bêrîtan, Zîlan, Avesta and Barîn also sacrificed their lives for a free life."
Pointing out that Kobanê was freed from the gangs thanks to the unique resistance of thousands of heroes, Wehîd Henan said: "If we follow in the footsteps of the martyrs, Afrin will be liberated."
Arîn Mîrkan's brother Beşar Şêx Xemîs said: “Arîn always struggling in her sleep. She used to say 'I did not win while sleeping but I will win in life'. She refrained to talk about what was in her mind."
Reminding that the enemy's will was broken with the action of Arîn Mîrkan and that Kobanê was liberated from the merncearies, Beşar Şêx Xemîs said: "We promise that we will walk in the path of my sister. Just as Kobanê was liberated thanks to the resistance of the fighters and heroes, Afrin too will be liberated from the invaders."
