Ehmed Yûnis, Co-Chair of the Agriculture and Irrigation Board of the Democratic Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria, announced that they will buy the entire wheat and cotton crop from farmers this season.

Ehmed Yûnis stated that the main purpose of the decision was to strategically protect wheat and cotton warehouses.

The Autonomous Administration, which last year purchased 1,300,000 tonnes of wheat (43 cents per kilogram in US currency), has not yet set this year's purchase price.
