The Autonomous Administration of Cizire Region calls for international action to stop the crimes of the Turkish state in North-East Syria.
The Democratic Autonomous Administration of Cizire Region released a statement condemning Thursday’s Turkish attacks which resulted in casualties and calling on the people
The statement said: “As part of the invading Turkish state’s genocidal and conspiratorial policies, two cars were struck by armed drones on the road between the villages of Xezne and Til Maruf in the Tirbespiye district of Qamishlo, leaving 3 of our citizens dead and 2 others wounded.
This attack, which coincided with the 10th anniversary of the Til Hasil and Til Eranê massacre, the 7th anniversary of the Qamishlo massacre and 100th anniversary of the Treaty of Lausanne, is a clear manifestation that the fascist AKP-MHP bloc will continue their genocidal policies against the Kurdish people. It also came out that the policy pursued by Turkey in Syria is a policy of strategic and large-scale occupation. Against everyone who rejects these policies, Turkey employs terror rhetoric and puts the refugee policy into action, which it already uses as a weapon.
Indifference or submission to the sponsor of terrorism, Erdogan, will certainly reflect negatively on global and regional peace and security, because the arms of his terror organizations have now reached many countries in the region.
All the territories invaded by the Turkish state have become a hotbed for terror organizations which can move, organize and train freely in the occupied regions. There exists a lot of evidence of the Turkish state's partnership with ISIS, including the confessions of the mercenaries who were apprehended after the attack on 20 January 2022 on Heseke prison which houses thousands of ISIS members.
As the Cizire Region Administration, we extend our condolences to the families of the martyrs, and we wish a speedy recovery for the wounded. We condemn the occupation attacks of the Turkish state against our regions, and we affirm our determination to preserve the gains made thanks to our martyrs.
We call on our people in North-East Syria to unite around the Autonomous Administration and its forces to confront the plans of the Turkish occupation state, and we call on the international guarantors of the ceasefire in North-East Syria to fulfil their responsibility and stop the Turkish crime of genocide.”
