The Coordination of Yazidi Community issued a statement calling for mobilization for Rojava, North-East Syria, in the face of the ongoing genocidal attacks by the Turkish state, ongoing since October 4th.
The statement released on Friday said: “The government of Erdoğan, the ideological and political twin of ISIS, has launched an all-out annihilation aggression against the people of Rojava who fought and defeated ISIS, enemy of humanity, and adopted a fair and libertarian social model based on democracy, pluralism and tolerance. In an attempt to cover up its own crisis and policy of terror, the Turkish state is conducting uninterrupted bombardments against the vital supply facilities of the Rojava people. We strongly condemn these attacks which constitute a crime against humanity and express our support for the campaign started by Heyva Sor a Kurdistan (Kurdish Red Crescent) to relieve the suffering of people in Rojava to some extent. We call on our people and our friends to mobilize for the reconstruction of Rojava, the island of democracy and freedom in the Middle East.”
