The Democratic Autonomous Administration of Northern and Eastern Syria has opened its first regional Health Academy and begun its first training period.

The Democratic Autonomous Administration Health Board held a ceremony in the city of Tabqa to open the first regional health academy.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Cod El Mihemed, co-chair of the Democratic Autonomous Administration Health Council of Northern and Eastern Syria, said that the opening of the academy was a strong message and an indication that they were trying to create new opportunities to ensure development in line with their policy and project.
Hope lies in communal work and persistence, said Cod El Mihemed, adding: "The opening of the academy is the starting point of the training program with all aspects and importance of general health, management and mental health, as well as other social issues. We believe that expert figures who will serve their society will emerge from this academy."
The academy took the name of Martyr Tekîn Goyî, and is located in the First Neighborhood of Tabqa, near the Euphrates Dam Lake.
