Farewell to six SDF fighters who fell in Serekaniye

Speakers called for unity and resistance against Turkish invasion.

Masses bid farewell to SDF fighters Aytac Ozer (Serdar Feraşîn), Murad Şakir (Bahoz Serhed), Husên Solmaz (Canşêr Torî), Elî Ferat Arzo (Muzur Amed), Fîdad Yaşilkaya (Gelhat Serhed) and Mihemed Mihemed (Aydil Dêrik) who fell in the Battle of Honor against Turkish invasion in Serekaniye.

The funeral ceremony at Martyr Xebat Cemetery of Martys began with a military ceremony, after which Cizire Region Council of Martyrs’ Families Co-president Hesen Ubed spoke and said the following; “We will not desist from the democratic project which bases on the unity of communities and peoples in North and East Syria and the philosophy of democratic nation. There is no choice but to resist alongside the SDF and increase the struggle against the fascism of the Turkish state and their mercenaries.”

Recalling that attacks against North and East Syria have been ongoing since the 19 July Revolution, Ubed continued; “The attacks have exposed the policies of the occupant states. The peoples of North and East Syria should form a unity and claim their values, freedom and honor together with the SDF against Erdoğan who provides both material and logistical support for terror.”

Following speeches, the six martyrs of the Battle of Resistance were laid to rest amid slogans.
