Hesekê Canton municipalities informed citizens about the projects carried out in 2023, and at the same time shared the projects to be realized in 2024.
The year is drawing to an end and the various municipalities are holding their annual meeting with citizens to tell them what projects have been carried out in the past 12 months and which ones will be carried out in 2024.
The People's Municipality of Dirbêsiyê in Hesekê Canton held its annual meeting at the Culture and Art Center with the participation of citizens, institutions and council members.
At the meeting, People's Municipality co-chair Zîlan Ereb read the annual report, which included the projects completed in 2023, such as opening a garden and 2 nurseries, the planting 5 to 6 thousand saplings in the districts and towns, and the asphalting of roads in the districts and towns. In addition, a video explaining the work was shown at the meeting.
In order to solve the water problem in the eastern part of the district, the council proposed for 2024 some projects such as laying 5 lines to the water station, asphalting the roads in many towns, repairing some roads, and carrying out awareness campaigns on cleanliness in the districts and towns.
The annual meeting of the municipality in Til Temîr district was held in the Martyrs' Families Assembly Hall. At the meeting, the municipality's annual work report was read by Til Temir People's Municipality co-chair Ronaz Yûnis.
The report explained the important projects completed by the People's Municipality in 2023, including the extension of the 825-meter sewer network in the neighbourhood where new houses were built.
The council also announced that the 850-meter-long Martyr Arkêş Commune road and the 3-kilometer-long road of the village of El Mensef were repaired.
Then, a video was shown explaining the activities carried out by the municipality throughout the year.
The meeting ended with the explanation of the many projects to be carried out in 2024. The most important project is the proposal to find an alternative solution for water problem. The proposal consists in finding alternatives to the provision of water coming from Alouk Water Station, which has been under the control of the Turkish state.
