People from Til Temir and Hesekê tried to reach Serêkaniye to support the resistance in the city but were forced to return because by the blockade of the Turkish state mercenaries.
Hesekê Justice Assembly member Rejin Salih said: "We wanted to reach wounded people and see what had gone on there. We were attacked today as we were three days ago. We saw human bodies scattered all around. None of us were armed by the mercenaries are attacking the civilian population with weapons. We didn't go there to fight. The group, mostly women, was being shelled by bullets. They wanted to trap us and kill us."
Afaf Haske, co-chair of the Culture and Art Assembly of the Canton of Hesekê and a member of the Hesekê Intellectuals Association, added: "We wanted to go to Serêkaniye to support our resisting people and reach out to our injured friends. We were denied entrance by Turkish-linked mercenaries belonging to Ceyş El Hür."
Aske continued: "Today there is resistance in all of our border cities from Derik to Kobanê. Peoples living in this area are resilient and have been living for 8 years implementing the ideas and philosophy of Önder Abdullah Öcalan within the framework of a democratic nation. We will never give up this resistance, and we will continue to stand by our people who resist on the front line."
