People's municipalities in Northern and Eastern Syria release their quarterly service work report to citizens.
The Northern and Eastern Syria Autonomous Administration system is built around 7 autonomous and civil administration regions. Municipalities that provide services have an important place. For this reason, one of the autonomous institutions that attracts the most attention and is followed closely by the people is the municipality.
Municipalities are institutions that are in direct contact with the people. Municipal councils also include representatives of communities and other institutions in cities and towns. Decisions and plans are taken in these assemblies. Co-chairs are also members of provincial and district general assemblies.
There are a total of 132 municipalities in cantons and districts in autonomous regions. 57 of them are in the Cizre region. Within the scope of the working system and public relations, the municipality informs the people about its work every 3 months. The purpose of this is to receive criticism, opinions and suggestions. The results of the meetings are translated into plans for the coming months.
The second quarterly meetings of 2023 are being held these days. Meetings continue in the cantons of Hesekê and Qamishlo in the Cizre region, as well as in the Euphrates, Shehba, Manbij, Raqqa and Deir ez-Zor. Citizens attend the meetings, express their criticisms, and present their opinions and suggestions.
According to the information given by the municipal administrations, these suggestions will be taken into account in the next three months' planning.
