People in Deir ez-Zor protested Syrian regime and Iranian forces

A large-scale demonstration began on Friday in the Al-Ezba area north of Deir ez-Zor. The demo reached Salihiya crossing point between the areas controlled by the SDF and the Syrian regime.

People demanded the regime and the Iranian forces to get out of the areas from which they were displaced: Salihiya, Husseiniya, Hatla, Khasham, Marat, Mazloum, and Tabiyya.

The people demand to safely return to their homes.

The demonstrators carried the flags of the Syrian Democratic Forces and banners reading "No to Iran, not to Russia, no to those who stand with them against us".

The people of Deir ez-Zor have begun this protest on Friday 20 September and have vowed to carry on with the demos every Friday.

Yesterday was the third Friday of protest against the regime and Iranian militias.

The people protesting are displaced from seven villages mentioned and have been living in villages and camps in the desert region of Al-Ezba for nearly two years after being expelled from their homes by the regime and Iranian forces.
