People of North and East Syria are increasingly protesting against the Turkish state’s threats to invade the region.
Masses took to the streets in Kobanê city on Monday and gave a message of resistance in response to Turkey’s increasingly ongoing threats to invade North and East Syria.
Thousands gathered at the Free Woman Square and marched to the Peace Square, chanting slogans for resistance against Turkish invasion and carrying banners that read “Peoples of North and East Syria will oppose invasion” and “Rise up for Rojava”.
The march was followed by a minute of silence in memory of martyrs, after which Kobanê Canton Assembly Co-president Mustefa Eto spoke. Eto remarked that the Turkish state wanted a repetition of Afrin. Stressing that the peoples of North and East Syria would not allow an invasion, he said the only way was resistance.
Speaking after, Euprates Region Autonomous Administration Executive Council Co-president Lemis al-Abdullah called on the people of the region to take to the streets against Turkish invasion.
