Refugees from Serêkaniyê protest Turkey’s occupation

The people who were displaced 4 years ago from Serêkaniyê as a result of Turkey’s occupation of the city demanded that the war crimes of the Turkish state be put to an end and that the necessary conditions be provided to return to their lands.

On the 4th anniversary of the occupation of Serêkaniyê by the Turkish state, thousands of refugees from Serêkaniyê organized a mass protest in Waşûkanî Camp.

Speaking at the protest, Camp Management member Sûriye Mihemed said: "The invading Turkish state and its mercenaries have occupied our regions and our homes for 4 years. All states in the world that remain silent about the invasions and crimes committed by the Turkish state in Northern and Eastern Syria are partners to these crimes. Returning to Serêkaniyê can only be achieved by putting an end to the occupation by the Turkish state.”

After the speeches, a film was screened.
