SDF: Turkish state seeks to prepare the ground for an attack by spreading false information

The Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) denied the allegations of the Turkish state, which relies on misinformation and complete distortion of truths in its ongoing genocidal war against North and East Syria.

The Media Center of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) published a statement exposing the intentions of the Turkish state which seeks to occupy more territories in North-East Syria.

SDF pointed out that the Turkish state has been spreading misinformation to obstruct the progress of the ‘Operation Security Reinforcement’ conducted by the SDF against ISIS cells and drug dealers in Deir ez-Zor region since 27 August.

According to the SDF, the Turkish state resorts to spreading baseless information through its Ministry of Defense after its failure to draw advantage of the attacks of the criminal elements that it backs, which are the target of the SDF operation. The statement pointed out that the SDF operation continues successfully despite the attempts of external forces to obstruct it.

Remarking that the sole goal of the Turkish state’s misinformation is to prepare the ground for an attack on the region and to put its occupation plan into practice, SDF said: “The allegations about the martyrdom of 13 of our fighters claimed to have attacked the Turkish forces and allied mercenaries in and around Afrin on 25-29 August and 4 September are groundless. As we made clear in our previous statements, our forces are not stationed in and around Afrin and are not engaged in any activities against the invading Turkish army and affiliated groups in this region.”

The SDF called on public opinion not to believe in the false information spread by the invading Turkish state.
