YPJ: Adar Cûdî fell as a martyr

YPJ General Command announced that Adar Cûdî, who was injured as a result of an accident on 27 July, had died.

The Women's Defense Units (YPJ) Command said in a statement that fighter Şêrîn Elî (Adar Cûdî), had died as a result of an accident she was involved with on 27 July.

The statement said: “The Northern and Eastern Syrian Women's Revolution reached all segments of society with the participation of women. Every woman who took part in the ranks of freedom became the main resource in sustaining and elevating this sacred revolution. Comrade Adar Cûdî was one of those who had been in the ranks of the YPJ since the beginning of the revolution and assumed the role of pioneer."

The statement continued: "Our comrade Adar Cûdî, codenamed Şêrîn Elî, who was born into a patriotic family in Hesêkê, was always in search of a free life with her stance taken from the culture of patriotism.

Comrade Adar Cûdî, who was impressed by the enthusiasm and excitement of the revolution, joined the defense units to protect the identity, land and culture of his people.

Our comrade Adar Cûdî was the main expression of women's leadership in the struggle of the YPJ from its first organization to its proclamation."

The YPJ said that "Comrade Adar, who made great efforts to expand the women's struggle, played an important role against ISIS terrorism and all kinds of invasion attacks. She was at the forefront of the campaign to liberate Shehesekê, Şedade and Til Temir, and fought relentlessly against the brutal gangs."
