YPJ fighter Adar Cûdî laid to rest

YPJ fighter Adar Cûdî, who fell as a martyr as a result of an accident, was laid to rest in Hesekê, while HPG guerrilla Şoreş Serhildan was acommemorated.

Women's Defense Units (YPJ) fighter Şêrîn Elî (Adar Cûdî) was injured in an accident in Hesekê while on duty on 27 July.

Adar Cûdî, who could not be saved despite the prompt medical intervention, died in Aleppo on 31 July.

Her funeral was held in Hesekê on Sunday and saw the participation of hundreds of people. Hesekê Martyr Families Council Member Rojda Ehmed and Hesekê Canton Military Council commander Viyan Welat paid tribute to the fighter in their speeches at the Martyr Dijwar Cemetery in the village of Dawudiyê.

All speakers underlined the determination to follow the path of the martyrs until victory was achieved.

At the ceremony, Hesekê Martyrs' Families Council also announced the identity information of HPG guerrilla Salih Ewad (Şoreş Serhildan), who fell as a martyr in Metîna on 19 July.
