The 30 years old British musician and activist Lee Brickley was inspired by Kurdish People’s Leader Abdullah Öcalan’s ideas and made a song titled Öcalan where he sings about the struggle of Kurdish People’s Leader Abdullah Öcalan, and states that he fought against injustices done to the Kurdish people, and that he wants freedom for women and oppressed peoples. The song also mentions the international plot against Öcalan from Italy to Turkey.

Brickley voiced his support for the Kurdish people’s cause and condemned the Turkish state’s invasion of Afrin: “I believe in the Kurdish people’s cause. I hope they will achieve their rights with democratic confederalism. And I condemn the Turkish state’s invasion of Afrin. I also believe that defending Kurdistan is a duty for the international community”
