The HPG Press Center issued a statement to confirm the identities of the guerrillas who were attacked in Dola Balisan.

The statement reads as follows:

“In our statement dated 7 September 2022, we shared the information that a guerrilla team had been attacked in the evening of 5 September, in Dola Balisan, and that according to the information we received, three of our comrades were killed and two of our comrades were wounded. We reported that KDP forces intervened and captured the two wounded. In the same statement, we also said that this incident should be investigated and clarified and that our friends taken by the KDP forces should be returned to us.

Our People's Defense Center Headquarters Commander also spoke to the press on 22 September and said that there was no development regarding what happened in Dola Balisan. In this statement, our commander reiterated that he expects the KDP forces to return the bodies of our fallen comrades as well as to free our captured friends.

No explanation has been received from the KDP regarding these events and the demands have not been responded to.
