Artist Hediye Kalkan, who works within the Mesopotamia Cultural Center (MKM), composed a Kurdish song called "Jin, Jiyan, Azadî" for 8 March, International Women's Day.

The song, bearing the KOM Music label, has been released on all digital platforms together with a video clip.

Kalkan was born in 1989 in the village of Karınca in the Wêranşar (Viranşehir) district of Riha (Urfa). She became interested in Kurdish culture and art from an early age, and the musical path she follows is based on dengbêj.
