Figures regarding women facing violence and killing in Turkey have registered a significant increase, reaching alarming levels in recent years. The women's struggle carried out against these attacks also continues without slowing down.

According to the data of We Will Stop Femicide Platform, 300 women were killed, 171 women died in suspicious circumstances in 2020

According to Jin News's list of violence and murder against women, at least 332 women and 33 children were killed in 2020, 110 women died in suspicious circumstances, 49 children were subjected to sexual abuse.

At least 6 women were killed by men in the first 4 days of 2021.

On 3 January, Sevgi Tekin was murdered by Gökhan Ağtaş, who entered her house today in Mamak, Ankara.

Also on 3 January, a man named Polat Hatal killed Aslıhan Dal, whom he was religiously married to, in Çorum.
