TJK-E calls for action against the KDP attack on civilians in Shengal

TJK-E condemned KDP forces' attack on Êzidîs in Shengal's Khanasor town and called upon Kurdish women to take action everywhere.

The Kurdish Women's Movement in Europe (TJK-E) issued a statement on today's attack by AKP/KDP gangs that targeted Êzidîs staging a peaceful march in Shengal's Khanasor town in protest at the attacks on Êzidî lands.

Condemning the attack of KDP-AKP gangs against the civilians that were marching towards their positions, the TJK-E said the following in its statement:

"We commemorate TAJE (Free Êzidî Women's Movement) Assembly Member Nazê Naif Qaval who died as result of the attack of KDP forces. Qaval's stance is all Kurdish women's stance of freedom against betrayal.

Êzidî women, who put up a great struggle for humanity for their faith and culture on Mount Shengal after the massacre ISIS carried out on August 3, 2014 are now facing with the oppression and attacks of a network of betrayal that call themselves 'Kurds' since March 3, 2017.

The betrayal network's massacre of Êzidî society and women at a time when they organized themselves and established their self-defense in order to not abandon Êzidxan and to not be severed from their roots is a clear indication of the dirty alliance of the KDP-AKP hegemony, and a follow-up of the policies aiming an invasion of Shengal and putting Êzidî society through yet another massacre.

On this basis, Kurdish women will take action and stand with the defense and free future of Shengal-land of Êzidxan that gained a will, organization and awareness in the person of Nazê Naif Qaval.”
