Raqqa Women’s Administration organised a three-day action to protest against the crimes and war crimes committed by the Turkish state.
The action was staged in a tent set up in the village of Til Semin. Speaking here, Cemal Bakinci, father of Hevrin Khalaf who was brutally executed by Turkish-backed mercenaries, said; “Hevrin fell a martyr but thousands of Hevrins are keeping the struggle going today.”
Bakinci continued; “11 thousand martyrs sacrificed their lives and millions are following them. As the people of Syria, we must give a struggle against conspiracies in the footsteps of the martrys.”
Speaking after, Raqqa Women’s Administration member Haliya Kecvan pointed to the Turkish state’s ongoing attacks on Manbij and Ain Issa, saying that these attacks were aimed at undermining the Autonomous Administration project.
Kecvan condemned the Turkish state’s attacks, crimes against women and the silence of the international community.
The demonstration ended with a call upon the international community to do their humanitarian duty and to take action against the conspiracies and attacks targeting the people in the region.
