Speaking on behalf of the activists, Fedile Tok said there has been an indefinite-alternating hunger strike since November 27 in the prisons of Kurdistan and Turkey to lift the isolation of the Kurdish People's Leader Öcalan. Tok said they were in solidarity with those joining the hunger strike in prisons.
Tok emphasised that the isolation on Öcalan cannot be accepted, adding; "All Kurdish people should stand up against the isolation. It is time to break the doors of prisons and achieve freedom."
