YPJ hands over female ISIS member and her children to the US

YPJ General Relations Bureau handed over female ISIS member US citizen Samantha Sally to US authorities along with her children on her request.

Women's Defense Units (YPJ) General Relations Bureau handed over female ISIS member Samantha Sally along with her 4 children (Ismael, Mariam, Marhyo, Sara) to FBI authorities in Qamishlo on July 23.

13% OF FOREIGN ISIS MEMBERS ARE WOMEN

A report published by the International Centre for the Study of Radicalisation (ICSR) in King’s College London states that 13% of the foreign ISIS members in Iraq and Syria are women.

According to the report the Islamic State (IS) in Iraq and Syria counts with some 41,490 international citizens from 80 countries.  In the first global dataset of its scope and detail, up to 4,761 (13%) of these were recorded to be women, and 4,640 (12%) of these minors.
