DEM Party co-mayors enter municipalities with the people, putting an end to the trustee rule

The DEM Party municipal co-mayors who received their mandates, entered the municipalities with hundreds of people and put an end to the trustee rule.

The co-mayors of the People's Equality and Democracy Party (DEM Party) are getting their certificates of election. The co-mayors who have already received their mandates, entered the municipalities under the trustees, accompanied by the people.

HAKKARI

DEM Party Hakkari (Colemêrg) Municipality co-mayors Mehmet Sıddık Adım, Viyan Tekçe and DEM Parti Yüksekova (Gever) Municipality co-mayors Şadiye Kırmızıgül and Şoreş Diri entered the municipalities, which had been usurped by the trustees for two terms.

In Hakkari, hundreds of people, as well as co-mayors Akı and Tekçe, DEM Party Provincial organization and executives, marched to the municipality. Co-mayor Tekçe said that the new term will be beneficial for all the people of Hakkari and that they will rebuild the municipality together with the people. Speaking afterwards, co-mayor Adım thanked the people for their support since the first day of the election campaign and said that they will serve in a transparent manner in the next process.

YÜKSEKOVA

In Yüksekova (Gever), in addition to the mayors of the municipality, the DEM Party Yüksekova District Organization, Peace Mothers and hundreds of people, marched to the municipality building, which is 3 kilometers away from the district center. Municipality staff welcomed the co-mayors with flowers.

'Yüksekova municipality is now at the service of the people'

DEM Yüksekova Municipality co-mayor Diri said: “After 5 years, we liberated our municipality from the trustees. Thanks to the Van resistance, the whole world understood that the will of the Kurdish people could not be trampled or usurped. Everyone should know that we will never allow the appointment of trustees to our municipalities."

'We will govern our people in a secular way'

Co-chair Kırmızıgül thanked the people of Yüksekova for not leaving them alone and said: “We know very well that you have not stepped into this municipality for 8 years. Now you are experiencing the pleasure of coming back to your municipality with great enthusiasm, excitement and of your own will. We promise you that we will run our municipality together in a secular manner for our people."

DEM Party Hakkari MP Onur Düşünmez said: “4 April is the birthday of our leadership. We send thousands of greetings to those who brighten our day with this victory and to those in prison. May this victory be for the young people who are struggling to live freely in their own land."

MUŞ

DEM Party won the Muş municipality, which had been under AKP rule for years, with a wide vote difference. Muş Municipality co-mayors Sırrı Söylemez and Tuba Sayılğan received their certificates of election together with the people. Then, they march to Muş Municipality. Speaking in front of the municipality, Söylemez and Sayılğan underlined that they will build an administration together with the people and said that this mandate belongs to the people.

Milazgir Municipality co-mayors Ahmet Kenan Türker and Gülistan Özel, Bulanık (Kop) Municipality co-mayors Aryan Doğan and Arafat Kardağı, Gimgim Municipality co-mayors Kıyasettin Aydemir and Gulbahar Kaya also received their certificates.

BATMAN

The DEM Party received the certificate of election in Ikiköprü (Awiske). Co-chairs Celile Yıldız and Halil İbrahim Karabulut, DEM Party executives, Tewgera Jinên Azad (TJA) and Batman (Êlih) MP Zeynep Oduncu went to the courthouse and received the certificates. Making a statement in front of the courthouse, Batman Provincial co-chair Songül Korkmaz said that they worked throughout the election process, together with all party members, women and young people.

MARDIN

Kudret Uçuk and Hamdin Demir, who were elected Mazıdağı (Şemrex) Municipality co-mayors, also received their certificates. Co-mayors Uçuk and Demir, who received their certificates from the District Election Board, then went to the municipality accompanied by the people.

The co-mayors thanked the people of the district for standing up for their will and said, “Our people have thus shown that their will will never be surrendered. "As we promised, we will always be with them and serve our district together," he said.

After the speeches, the co-chairs and their entourage entered the town hall, accompanied by chants, and took a souvenir photo there.
