The Peoples' Equality and Democracy Party (DEM Party) filed a criminal complaint over 15.249 "illegal voters" who were registered in Iğdır, Kars and Siirt. The party filed a criminal complaint against the Ministry of Defence and its officials, the General Directorate of Population and Citizenship Affairs and its officials, and the Ministry of Interior and its officials on the grounds of "forgery in the electoral register and lists".

In the criminal complaint submitted to Ankara Chief Public Prosecutor's Office on Duty, it was stated that the necessary objections were made to the district election boards for the suspicious voters, but they were rejected on the grounds that "all the male voters in question were military personnel and were assigned to the Provincial Security Directorate and Provincial Gendarmerie Command to ensure election security".
