The Northern and Eastern Syria Autonomous Administration Culture Committee will organize many poetry and story festivals, art symposiums and exhibitions in the next year.
Murhef El Fehid, co-chair of the Culture Committee, said: "The committee's effectiveness in artistic activities and archaeology will be increased. Our primary activities will be to bring intellectuals together with the Northern and Eastern Syria Culture Committee."
Stating that the committee sponsored all artistic events, including book exhibitions, Al Fehid said that poetry and story festivals will be held in Northern and Eastern Syria this year.
El Fehid shared the following information about the activities of the committee: "We are trying to take local activities to a new level. We will prepare a symposium and invite internationally known artists and designers. We will organize a painting exhibition."
Noting that they will promote some musical works to show peace and unity among the people of the region and the development of social life and social harmony, El Fehid said: "Our activities will be completed within this year. The culture committee plans to bring together intellectuals, artists, musicians, archaeologists, poets and writers."
Archaeology work
Drawing attention to the archaeological work of the committee, El Fehid said: "We plan to restore some historical artefacts. Necim Castle in Manbij is one of them. We have also prepared a general work for the repair of the historical Raqqa wall, whose outer layer of the wall was destroyed by humidity. This work will begin in the next few days."
El Fehid continued: "We have prepared a plan for the restoration of the Herqele warehouse where some mosaic paintings are located."
Al Fehid said: "There are many obstacles ahead of us due to the lack of expertise. We are trying to overcome this by cooperating with some organizations working in the field of archaeology. We want to protect the historical monuments in the region."
