This is the third significant award won by the film, after those received in Uruguay and Japan.
Gava Şitil Mezin Dİbin had its European premiere a few days ago at the Periferias Film Festival in Portugal, and will soon be shown at the Vasteras and Nordic Film Festivals in Sweden.
The main program of the Human Rights Film Festival in Colombia was presented as part of the defense of human rights and the building of ideas for peace.
The film tells the story of a yoghurt seller from Kobanê and his two children who run into Hemûd, a boy who is looking for his home.
The day they spend together ends up full of both adventure and misfortune, and showcases the changing dynamics in the region after the revolution, when Kurdish-led forces pushed the fundamentalist Islamic State (ISIS) out.
