Following the end of the 2024–2025 academic year and the start of the summer holiday, the Dicle Culture and Art Center in the city of Dêrik has launched art courses for school students.

The training courses began at the beginning of June. Students participating in the courses receive education in the fields of visual arts, music, and theater.

According to information from the administrators of the Dicle Culture and Art Center, approximately 200 students have enrolled in the courses, and the training is being conducted by professional teachers.

The courses will last for 3 months. The students will showcase what they have learned at the Children's Art Festival to be held in Northern and Eastern Syria.
