Hozan Aydın (62), an artist known for his contributions to Kurdish music, suffered a heart attack on Monday in Berlin.

The artist was taken to DRK Köpenick Hospital by ambulance. The doctors said that the artist had three arteries blocked. An angiogram was performed. During the procedure, two arteries were opened and stents were inserted. Doctors reported that the artist is out of danger, but his condition is very serious because one of his arteries is still blocked.

Hozan Aydın, who has dedicated his life to Kurdish music, is now receiving treatment in intensive care.
