Turkish President Tayyip Erdoğan has announced that he will meet with the DEM Party Imralı Delegation next week and that they are closely monitoring the process.
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan answered questions from journalists on his flight back from Azerbaijan.
Erdoğan said that he will meet with Pervin Buldan and Mithat Sancar, members of the Imrali Delegation of the Peoples' Equality and Democracy Party (DEM Party), next week. He noted that AKP Deputy Chairman Efkan Ala and MIT (Turkish intelligence service) President İbrahim Kalın will also be present at the meeting.
Erdoğan stated that the process would accelerate if the PKK implemented its decision to lay down its arms. “Our relevant institutions are closely monitoring every step and move and taking the necessary measures. We will not leave this process to its own devices, nor will we allow provocations. We are working diligently and moving forward with confidence,” he said.
