Guerrillas seize documents and weapons from the Turkish army

Kurdish guerrillas seized a mobile phone containing the footage that shows last moments of executed Kurdish guerrilla Cuma Imen from Turkish army.

Guerrillas overran Turkish military positions in Besta, a region in rural Şırnak, on August 16. According to the information provided by People’s Defense Forces (HPG) at least 6 Turkish soldiers were killed as a result of this guerrilla action. HPG Press and Communication Centre (HPG-BIM) shared with ANF a video and images of weapons and documents that were seized from Turkish soldiers in Besta in the mentioned action.

HPG said that a mobile phone containing the footage that shows the last moments of HPG guerrilla Cuma Imen was seized in the same incident.

Imen was captured alive by Turkish soldiers on July 24 and executed the same day. The footage showed him among two Turkish soldiers and he was heard saying “they beat me”.

HPG released the ID of a Turkish soldier named Ismail Kursat Kocer, from Araban, a district of Antep province, stating that it’s not clear if Kocer is among the soldiers who were killed that day.

HPG also released the list of Turkish soldiers who participated in the operation.

One of the documents is the payroll that belongs to Ismail Kursat Kocer. It shows that Turkish army pays 6000 Turkish Lira to specialist sergeants monthly.

The weapons that were seized by the guerrillas from Turkish soldiers include 1 Bora sniper rifle, 1 BKC rifle, 1 RPG-7 rocket launcher, 1 HK-33 rifle, 1 thermal binocular, 1 grenade and 1 bulletproof vest.
